THAT DARN APPLE

(Continuation of the article by Fred Alan Wolf)
"Thus the world is really not as it seems if it seems to you that it exists independently of your observations. It certainly seems to be “out there” independently of us. The world hardly appears to depend on any choice we might make. Yet quantum physics destroys that idea. What is “out there” depends on what you choose to look for. The world isn't made of objects as our common senses tell us. The world’s apparent objects are linked to our minds in surprising and often mysterious ways. By our observations in the world, we influence it."

"You are the perceiving, not the perceiver." (Ch'an)

Or as Mike Dooley states: "Thoughts become Things" (better think the good ones). It is kind of nice to witness your thoughts, it's like listening to a conversation 2 people have in the seat in front of you. It's an opportunity to discover more about yourself, your beliefs, perceptions and how you experience the world around (in!) you. Once you become conscious you'll start adjusting things and get rid of things that no longer "serve" you.

"Perhaps this is what the apple on the tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden represents. The first bite of the apple is sweet, but costly. Our eyes are opened and we see a world “out there” and we see ourselves alone, separated from everyone else and everything else."

HERE IS WHERE WE LOSE OUR SOUL AWARENESS

"Gaining objective knowledge has been costly from that very first bite. Each chomp, each bit of knowledge gain, results in a brief “aha” followed by an immediate “so what.” And by becoming conscious of the universe, by paying attention to it, we do change it. Since the universe includes you, the boundary between you and it also changes whenever you observe anything. Simply put, it changes because you change and you and it are parts of a greater whole. You are invisibly connected to the whole universe, so the change not only occurs within you but outside of you as well."

We are getting close to what the spiritual entails, like a Buddhist scripture expresses: "That which is seeking, is sought."
Or my favorite: "I am, but there is no 'me'." by Wei Wu Wei.
Everything is always already right here, right now, the journey is a circle and ends at the start, where you'll see the world from a different perspective. Everything is completely different, yet everything is exactly as it was before. The difference is orientation.

What is, is all there is to it...

All is well,
